The role, at a glance:
As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management
and control of inventory within our organization. Your primary objective will be to develop and
implement inventory control strategies and procedures to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs,
and ensure accurate stock records. You will lead a team of material handlers, monitor inventory
transactions, and collaborate with various departments to maintain a seamless flow of goods and
materials. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent leadership
abilities.
How you’ll contribute:
Develop and implement inventory control strategies and procedures to optimize inventory record accuracy
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity in the inventory management system
Lead and supervise a team of material handlers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and disbursements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures
Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions
Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and make data-driven recommendations
Implement and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues, such as stock discrepancies, quality concerns, and order fulfillment delays
Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in inventory control and recommend relevant improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability within the inventory control team
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and cost-saving initiatives related to inventory control

A successful candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
3+ years’ experience in inventory control, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and proficiency in using inventory control software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a team
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information to stakeholders
Solid understanding of inventory control principles, methodologies, and best practices
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to inventory management
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
